Javier Gracia has left Malaga after two seasons as coach amid interest from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Malaga confirmed Gracia s departure on Tuesday after the 46-year-old guided the Spanish team to an eighth-place finish in La Liga.
Gracia, who replaced Bernd Schuster in 2014, is now reportedly set for the Russian Premier League via Rubin.
Rubin are on the hunt for a new coach after Rinat Bilyaletdinov s contract was terminated by mutual consent in September, with assistant Valery Chaliy appointed until the end of the season.
Javier Gracia Carlos and Malaga CF have developed a method of work over the last two seasons in La Liga, consolidating him as one of the most sought-after coaches of the moment, the club said in a statement, with Gracia to hold a…

Looking to take another giant step towards a Premier League return on Tuesday night, Sheffield United will welcome Bristol City to Bramall Lane.
Starting with the hosts, making an immediate return to winning ways last weekend as they cruised their way to a stellar 4-1 romp at home against Cardiff, Sheffield United are inching towards a Premier League return. Opening up Tuesday s showdown at Bramall Lane holding a five-point buffer from slipping out of the automatic promotion places, Paul Heckingbottom s men should be smelling the chance to make another statement here. Making real history last month as they punched their FA Cup semi-final ticket and with a heavyweight showdown against Manchester City fast approaching, the…

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has added fuel to speculations linking him with a move away from Alianz Arena.
The Germany international has lost his starting place under Jupp Heynckes near the end of the season and is currently unhappy with his status at the club.
Muller could decide to leave after what was a very disappointing season for Bayern and he now admits the lack of playing time is a problem.
“This was new to me, and difficult,” the forward was in Sport Bild.
The 22-year-old then explained that Inter had already made an offer for his services.
“Inter want me and I will think about it. There has been an offer.”
Muller started his career at Bayern Munich, but exploded onto the big stage during season 2009/2010, before…
Cristiano Ronaldo s lawyer Peter Christiansen insisted a warrant for the Juventus superstar s DNA is a very standard request amid the ongoing investigation into a rape allegation.
American Kathryn Mayorga has accused Ronaldo of sexually assaulting her in a hotel in Las Vegas in 2009, something the Portugal captain has strenuously refuted.
German publication Der Spiegel first reported the claims, which also included the suggestion Ronaldo paid Ms Mayorga $375,000 in 2010 as part of a privacy agreement, preventing her from going public with the allegations. Ms Mayorga filed a lawsuit in an attempt to quash that agreement while Las Vegas police have re-opened an investigation.
Christiansen confirmed the payment was made to Ms Mayorga, but said some documents present…
David Ornstein has reported that the USMNT have come to an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino, who will become their new head coach after beating out multiple other candidates.
Pochettino has never managed an international side before. He has, though, had relative success in club football, guiding Tottenham to second in the Premier League, as well as a Champions League final, during his tenure there.
He has been without a job since Chelsea sacked him following a sixth-placed Premier League finish last season, which was an improvement of six places on their previous campaign.
It was suggested that Pochettino could be under consideration by England, but that Lee Carsley has now been given the role on an interim basis suggests they are waiting for a bigger name to …
